A couple weeks ago Mark came out to the old homestead (I have a barn, but there really isn’t a homestead…I live in the suburbs of Boston) and we shot a video of his tune “Better Words”.

Recently Mark released another video from our good pal Jon Dorn that was shot with the full band in Whitaker’s living room. I think that this is a really good contrast to that. Where as that song is pretty uptempo and makes you want to move, this is a bit more poignant, quiet, and contemplative. The quiet of the loft of the barn, the light through the window, and of course Mark’s incredible playing, songwriting, and voice made this a real fun session. The two videos side by side show the dynamic range of Mark’s songwriting and highlight how great he can be in both situations (it also shows that Jon is a much better videographer than I am, but I digress…)
