I first came across Ian in February of 2013. I had just started writing this blog and he was one of the very first people to submit their music for review. To date, he writes the greatest songs that I have ever had come across my inbox for review…and I would be as forward as to say, he writes the best songs that I have ever heard, period.

Ian has become a very good friend since that first submission of his album, ‘No Time To Be Tender’. He played and sang on my last record. We have shared the stage on a variety of occasions (last year even, covering a song of our pal Joe Fletcher who had to miss out on the show) and without fail, he always amazes me. His sense of humor and banter on stage, while subtle, is second to none. His songs, can hush even the noisiest crowd. He is just that good.

I have heard through the grapevine that there is a possibility of Ian being joined during his set from some other really wonderful folks. Fleshing out the sound of what I am guessing will be a set of new tunes and old favorites. A celebration of my favorite music and people who have influenced me as a writer, musician, and media personna just wouldn’t be complete without Mr. Fitzgerald.
