Silver City Bound may take their namesake from a Lead Belly tune, but the sound of the band certainly isn’t that hearty bellied, gravel voiced heavy thumbed blues made famous by the legend. With electric guitars, accordion and simple but effective and pleasant harmonies the band’s sound is that modern indie rock vibe that is so deliciously digestible you keep coming back for more.

The latest from the collective is a video for their song ‘Take My Picture” featuring some artsy Brooklyn apartment shots during a small gathering of friends mixed in with a live performance at a local spot. It flows nice and seamless between the two scenes…plus its got a cat in it. Come on, cats are the best and this band is pretty great too.

The repeated “take my picture” line interplays well with the mirrored reflection of the camera woman operating and filming the band. It feels natural and just like a good hang…the kind of feeling I get from the band. Its just feel good stuff here. Dig it.
