Festival season has fully blanketed us in its glory of packed line ups over the course of single weekends, beer tents, outdoor dancing and of course, actual blankets to sit on and enjoy music. One in particular we are excited for happens early in the packed summer line up in our new home state of Vermont: Roots on the River in Bellows Falls.

I had the pleasure of talking to ROTR curator Ray Massucco a few weeks back and his passion and excitement about this event every year, well its a special thing for sure. While the festival may be small, it certainly isn’t lacking in heart or talent and for years it has brought back many growing names in the roots music community. Some of our North East Favorites hit the stage over the course of the weekend with Lula Wiles, Della Mae and The Ballroom Thieves topping the list of performers.
