Its that time, where we long for dancing under the sun amongst other sweaty bodies to stacked line ups inclusive of our favorite acts and newly found phenoms that we will love for years to come. It also happens to be the time where the summer festivals begin either the slow roll out announcements of artists playing their fest or the one shot unloading of all the artist on the bills. Roots on the River, a smaller festival located in Bellows Falls, VT chose the latter.

Last year was our first time at ROTR and we had a wonderful time. It’s smaller size and more compact layout more than makes up for size with its HUGE heart.

The folks at Roots on the River just announced their line up (see below), but we are sure as heck excited to catch our old pals The Meadows Brothers, The Suitcase Junket and Hayes Carll this June behind the old Rodeway Inn.
