I’m With Her Announce Debut Full Length Record “See You Around”

It’s about time. Thats about it. When I first was able to witness the power trio of Aoife O’ Donovan, Sara Watkins and Sarah Jarosz (I’m With Her) I knew before they took to the stage we were in for a treat, I just didn’t realize how much of a treat that would be and the time between then and now has had me wishing for tours and records and more. While the three songwriters and multi-instrumentalist have provided us with a taste here and there, touring this past summer as a smorgasboard of talent alongside Punch Brothers and Julian Lage (collectively American Acoustic) and making us knee-weak puddles of emotional mush with their cover of Adele, this is just what the doctor ordered and come February 16th the only medicine you need will be given in any dose you require in the form of a brand new twelve track album. You can stream the title track already today below.

Per the band’s press release: ‘See You Around presents a warmly textured, yet stripped-down sound, layered with lush guitar tones and crystalline harmonies. The album is comprised of 11 originals, penned by the band in Los Angeles and Vermont, plus the never before released Gillian Welch-penned “Hundred Miles.” With each member playing guitar and handling various aspects of the instrumentation – including fiddle and ukulele for Watkins, mandolin and banjo for Jarosz, piano and synth for O’Donovan – the band cut most of the album live, performing just a few feet away from each other in the tracking room. All through See You Around, I’m With Her exhibits a refined musicality that reflects their deep musical roots.’

“We all feel immensely fortunate to be in this band together,” says I’m With Her. “As longtime friends and fans of each other’s music, it’s been wonderful to realize that writing and collaborating together fits so seamlessly into our lives.’

Well I am fairly certain I speak for a large percentage of music lovers when I say that we feel immensely fortunate that you three are in this band together as well.

You can pre-order See You Around on all sorts of a plethora of different online retailers, but I prefer to go straight to the source. Hit up their shop page and get a whole slew of different options from t-shirt and vinyl packages to sweatshirts and signed CDs. Do it. Just do it.
