OK, Lorde may not be something you would expect to be covered or mentioned here on RLR, but when fiddler extraordinaire Sarah Hubbard puts her mind to work on a multi-layered, cross cutting video cover of any tune its time to perk up and take notice.

Recently referred to as the “fiery fairy of the strings” in a review of a Flobots show, when she isn’t performing back bends on stage while lighting her fingerboard on fire, she puts out videos every so often. Ones that may not necessarily be traditional fits for a fiddle and a voice but she executes them flawlessly and with a certain intrigue that captivates fully.
