Singled Out: Cardinal Folk “Pabst Blue Gentleman” Interviews Music Features by Brian Carroll - May 17, 2018May 20, 20180 Who: Cardinal Folk From: Shenandoah Valley of Virginia Song: “Pabst Blue Gentleman” Latest Record: Bottom Shelf to be released soon What about it: “I give my parents credit for my love of Pabst Blue Ribbon. They didn’t give me my first beer or throw parties at our house when I was a kid. They just quit their jobs when I was six to be around more. My mom became a stay at home mom and my dad started his own home improvement company. They made significantly less money, so we grew up cheaper, but sometimes cheaper is better. When I started drinking, I found this to be true for alcohol too. I know that other beers and whiskeys taste better than PBR and Kentucky Gentleman, but I’ve found that I have more fun per person the cheaper the beer and whiskey. And that’s what life is all about, having fun with the people you love. Pabst Blue Gentleman by Cardinal Folk What else?: ‘My favorite thing to do as an artist is play house concerts.
