Singled Out: Native Harrow “Hard To Take”

Who: Native Harrow

From: Woodstock, NY

Song; “Hard To Take”

Latest Record: Happier Now

What About It: “This song was written during the Happier Now recording session in March of 2018 in Chicago, IL at Reliable Recorders. During a coffee break Alex Hall (drums, keys, engineer) and Stephen Harms of Native Harrow stepped out while I held back to try and conjure up one final song to complete the album. As soon as I sat down this song seemed to just melt from my being and was written in just a few minutes. After being on the road nonstop for several years I felt disconnected and weary. I wanted to be honest about how the road had changed me and weighed on me physically and mentally. I felt that being to the point lyrically I could communicate that there isn’t much beyond it just being hard some days.” – Devin Tuel
