Peep This: MATTIE+ DEBBIE “Monster”

I am not sure where you would even begin to classify the music of MATTIE + DEBBIE. The slick vocals of Sean Trischka are somewhere in the realm of contagious pop jazz ala Lake Street Dive. The drum style with a funky vibe and groove that enters each and every one of your pours. Guitarist Stash Wyslouch’s harmonies entering high and mighty. Avant garde guitar playing, crafting a landscape of juxtaposition and space that is endlessy entertaining and keeps you constantly wondering where the song will go next…and yet it always comes around back to that style, grace and vibe. Its a goddamn epidemic, its sultry and swinging and strange and…its just so damn good.

The two sit back to back with a white sheet hanging from the ceiling, the two beneath black cloth with the exception of their heads. A simple, black and white concept that still is able to be completely captivating in its simplicity.

Give a listen to “Monster” today and keep on the lookout for these two. Here’s hoping for a whole lot more in the near future.
