Album Highlight Friday: The Horse-Eyed Men “Grave Country” Featured Album by Brian Carroll - January 30, 2015January 21, 20160 The Horse-Eyed Men have a no bull-shit, straightforward attitude to their songs. With tunes ranging from some slower moving, almost spoken word kind of vibes over a throbbing piano line to acoustic plugged “just enough gritty rawness” to be non-conformingly beautiful and soft. These fellas have an appreciation for the folk roots that their own music comes from with some great takes and their own development on classics like ‘Cold Rain and Snow’ and ‘Red Rocking Chair’. With some real pleasant tunes that plod along simply and wonderfully, I find myself listening over and over again. There is some greatness is these tunes. Check them out.
