Peep This: Anna Tivel – Newport Folk Behind the Walls

We have had a long history with Newport Folk as a publication and are ver grateful to have the opportunity to document the magic through our own lenses at the Fort July after July.

The folks working direct for and with NFF are also wonderful magicians with their work and capturing those moments on stage and off. Case in point this recently released session with Anna Tivel from the bowels of Fort Adams.

Tivel’s voice lilts and flows, filling the space with a balance of weightiness and airy grace. The brick echoing her lyrics back and the light…damn that light is a dream. Anna’s voice, particularly that weeping tremolo that ends the tune, holy moly. Its moving and gorgeous and captivating all in the course of just under three and a half minutes.
