You can’t mention the phrases “good vibes” and “New England music” without immediately thinking of Billy Wylder. The art-folk/rock band led by guitarist/songwriter Avi Salloway celebrates the release a brand new LP this coming month called ‘Strike the Match’ with a big blow out at Cambridge, Mass’s Oberon on November 9th.

The influences of Salloway and the band run deep and wide. The latest single dropping recently in video format for “Great Blue Heron” mixing the tradition of American roots and rock with a middle eastern flair and a vibrancy that is countered by the pensive and calming nature of Avi’s voice mingling with twinkled guitar and jammish vibes.

November sees the band with celebratory shows all over New England. So get out and catch them live. If there is one band that can equally span a mile wide smile across your face while concurrently melting your face and mind, well its this band.
