Of all the artists I hadn’t yet had the pleasure to see live yet that I saw at Green Mountain Bluegrass and Roots, Eli West was the one who captivated me the most. Not only was he on the main stage for his own set, but he popped up, what seemed like, everywhere throughout the weekend. Leading Hartford tunes for the big tribute blow out, singing in silhouette during the late night Lamplighter Sessions and even as the rain and thunder rolled inside a tiny cabin backstage with folks from all other bands. He is an artist, an incredible talent on multiple instruments and a pensive and beautiful writer of songs. And lucky for us Vermonters, he has 3 shows coming up this week all stretching all across the state.
